It all began in February 2020, just before the world changed in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Though we lived miles apart—Adriano in Cividale del Friuli and me in Rapallo—we somehow found each other in Liguria. Life had different plans for us when COVID-19 hit, and I moved back to Gorizia to work from home and stay close to my parents during those uncertain months.

During that time, Adriano and I started talking. At first, it was just messages, but with each conversation, a connection grew. By May 2020, when the world slowly began to reopen, we met in person again, and the spark was undeniable. By July of that year, after Adriano visited me in Rapallo, we made it official—we were in love.

From then on, we faced the challenges of a long-distance relationship, but no obstacle was too great when it came to us. Over the years, we've shared so much, including a mutual love of travel. Together, we’ve explored amazing destinations like the USA, Aruba, Saint Martin, Anguilla, Hungary, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, Peru and Italy of course. Each adventure brought us closer and filled our lives with unforgettable memories.

June 2024 marked a turning point in our story. After a year full of ups and downs, we decided to give each other the gift of a trip to Portugal for our shared birthdays. It was on this unforgettable journey, at Cabo da Roca—the westernmost point of Europe and the closest to my homeland of Venezuela—that Adriano proposed to me. Standing there, at the edge of the world, we promised to spend our lives together.

Today, we call Cividale del Friuli home, living in Adriano’s family’s historic house, which we've lovingly renovated together. Our cozy life includes our sweet dog, Ellie, who has brought endless joy and love to our little family.
